Case size question 300wm

I normal use lapau brass which I load in lots of 50.
How ever for a range day out I find I dont have enough loaded rounds left.So decided to load some once fired norma brass I had been given (would have been fired through a sporter rifle) Did the whole reloading exercise,only to find would not chamber enough to get the bolt closed.
I have since pulled all the rounds,remeasured all dimensions o.k any body come across this before.

The cases must be full length resized before you can use them.

I had assumed (read Mother of all ---- ups) that they would be o.k to load.Have resized good to go.
