Case capacity

Minus the necks, the 7WSM is 1gr higher than the 300WSM.
Including the necks they match, both ~1gr over the 270WSM.

Differences from reamer to reamer would separate them more than design.

Interessting I was under the impression that the 7WSM had the highest case capacity of the three.

The 7mm does have the highest USEABLE capacity. The reason the 300 equals it is because a .308" diameter neck obviously holds more than a .284" neck. That is why when I'm building a wildcat, I always consider where the base of the bullet is going to be and what is an adequate neck length. A good example of this shows up in the amount of freebore in a given chamber. All things equal more freebore equals less pressure with a given load which equals less velocity; however, loaded to equal pressure "MORE" velocity is possible because of the increase in volume (capacity) due to the distance before the bullet contacts the lands......Rich
