Brass Coloer

I was cleaning some brass up. I've got some that had layed around out side a bit. It just won't clean up very well. Some of it is a brownish color and some of it has brownish spots. Just wont clean up as nice looking as the other brass. Is their something I can use to clean it better? Is the brass still good or should I toss it?

Soak it in vinegar a few hours then tumble normally.

I will ditto boomtube and add hot water to the vinergar and stir. Rinse well with cold water and dry. Top of the frig works great for drying.
