Can you guys shed some light on who makes the best bottom metal for rem 700 long action extended mag Bdl style . Thanks

I prefer PT&G stainless one piece bottom metal myself for my own builds.
Have never handled a Hawkins, do they come in stainless or aluminium?
Intrigued as I could not find that info on their website.

Cheers.

Hawkins are Aluminum and are ~$180. Badger ~$345. APA ~$ 275. Hawkins also has great customer service :) How much are the PT&G? I see that they do not take returns, How is their CS?

I just paid $135USD each for my last 2 builds. They were on sale though, normally pay $199USD each. They are very very good quality, other smiths I've shown have immediately tried them and can not fault them. I buy them as surface unfinished, then I can polish/blast/cerakote as needed.
I've never had to send anything back, but their CS is very timely, I'm in Australia, most things in stock at time of order are at my door within 14 days. I really like their products, bolts, recoil lugs & bottom metal.

Cheers.

Rick, are you honestly asking about PT&G CS or was this a back handed comment? Either way it made me laugh. "Worst customer service ever" or "what customer service" is how I would describe it.🤣
