I have a moose and bear hunt coming up in a month. I spend the last little while shooting my new 300. wsm. The scope ended up breaking (cheap old scope) so i need to get a new one fast. I am undecided due to money issues. to start i dont know if i should go and buy a good scope now or buy a decent scope and buy a good one later. I want a good magnification because shots will be from 100-400 yards
Decent scopes:
- Burris FullField II 4.5-14x 40
-Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x 40
- or the Zeiss Conquest 3-9x 40
-Vortex Viper 4-12X 40
Good scopes:
-Leupold VX3 3.5-10x 40 (with/without CDS)
4.5-14X 40 (with/without CDS)
-Leupold VX3L 3.5-10x 40
-Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x 44
- Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16X 42
Should i get a decent scope now and buy a good one later or buy a good scope now and stick with it for life. I have a days to decide my hunts in a month.
The scope will be placed on a Browning A-Bolt 300. wsm for Moose, Black bear, caribou for shots 100-400 yards
