Yesterday, December 22. It was a chilly 84 degrees and sunny. No bucks all day but 5 does showed up. Once again I saw no other hunters all day long. :D

They haven't had a hog checked in at the station in several years. Panthers, bear and alligators get most of them. Now go north or north east 50-60 miles and they have plenty of hogs. I've never seen a hog in the BC or any sign of rooting.

Go to the bottom of this page and select South then Big Cypress. Then drop back to 2000-2001. You'll see when the panthers started to really make a comeback.

Area Total (Multiple Years)

Someone poached a radio collared Florida Panther on Dec 7th too.
