Hi folks, looking to work up some loads using 208gr amax`s and 210VLD`s from a a 300WM, 26in barrel, and remington cases...

IMR 4350 seems like it may give the best velocity and looks to be close to the upper limit of burning rate, but it seems it is at the cost of good accuracy?

On the other hand, a compressed load with something slower like retumbo seems like it may have good accuracy, but what kind of velocity can be achieved here?

Any thoughts appreciated...

I use and like H-1000 in the 300 Win. IMHO 4350 is a tad on the fast side for the bullets that you listed. A couple of other good choice would be RL-22, H-4831 and 7828

ok sure, ive read a few people liking the h1000, but what kind of velocity can you achieve with it using a 210gr bullet?

I get 2920 fps MV in a 25.5 inch Lilja barrel.
Lapua brass.
Federal GM210M primer
74.1 gr IMR 7828 & Berger 210 VLD.

With a 210 Berger VLD, 76.7 gr of Retumbo is giving me 2875 FPS with no pressure signs. Federal gm215 primers and 0.015" off the lands and a 26" 1:10 barrel.

yeah sorry, the thread title is a little ambiguous i realise now...

what i was looking for is load data that achieves the highest velocity with the 210gr pills in a 300WM. Accuracy details of that load is also helpful.

i dont think i can edit the thread title can i?
