I'am just gitting into reloading. I'am going to be loading for my 6.5cm .300wm and .308win, but I'am starting by loading for my best friend, I will be loading him up with 127gr barnes lrx bullets. I will be shooting the 130gr berger in my bergara 6.5cm. I'am not trying to hot rod our rifles but would like good velocity and consistency. What powders have been working for you all, I was thinking rl15,rl16 or vargit. Thanks.

I shoot the 130 Berger hunting out of my 6.5x47 with H4350. Not a Creed but close. I've read some guys also get good velocity with R26. H4350 gets the 130 going 2950 fps out of a 26" barrel. Not to shabby.

I run the hammer 124gr out of my creed 22" and have had great luck with varget. H4350 is kinda the go to but varget seems to be working better for getting a bit more speed from the 124. If you are not looking to push the envelope go with the tried and true 4350. Tough to beat with the bullets you mentioned.

I shoot H4350 with 130 and up and Varget with the 123 bullets. I have great results with a mild load of 41 grains of 4350 and the Berger HVLD. Oh, I am using Lapua brass and 450 primers.

RL23 has been pretty well ideal for me in the .260's shooting the 132gr Peregrines and 130gr Hornady Interbonds.

RL19 worked very well for me with 130's and 140's.

The 6.5x47 is one of those calibers that is so, "just right" that dang near most medium burn rate powders will work well in it. Most people like the 4350's but I've gravitated to RL-15 and run Lapua 123's for day in, day out regular performance.
