She is currently shooting a 25-05 in a Sako. Just tbh I just don't want a creedmore, to me it's become the minivan of the shooting world. Lol
Yes good ole hard wood river bottom white tails! So non magnum might be a better route, if I do that a 6.5-284 may be what I am looking at then!
When I read your OP, I first wondered about the chambering. Because she is already a shooter, you might be ok with a magnum or higher velocity non-magnum but you might not. You might think about going old school, used, in case she doesn't like the first one. You know, feminine mind-changing and all. .243, .270, 7mm-08, .308 all come to mind as light recoiling effective chamberings.
On the other hand, we all like folks who contribute lightly used bad-@$$ magnum rifles to the used firearms market. That's how I got a screamin' deal on an introductory year Model 70 FW 300 WSM. Looks like it might have fired a box of ammo and the LOP was 13". Sure, I had to make a butt spacer but it just dressed up an already very sexy rifle.
