B&L Balvar 2.5-10x40 AO

I picked up this mint used scope for a bargain UK price but have not been able to find any info on it.
Any help will greatly appreciated.

2. Baush and Lomb ( Bushnell )

3. no ring marks

4. underpowered ( oops ! )

Have you been shooting ? I wish you would post some pix of the places you go shoot as I am a bit nostalgic for the places Brit . I need to get back over there soon . So, what say you , can I sleep in the attic or coal bin ? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif when I get there .

In 1965 /66 USMC evaluated early B&L Balvar 2 1/2 - 8 scopes. Not so hot. But not what you have - just showing the history.

In "The ultimate Sniper" J.L. Plaster (copyright 1993) pg 70 ....B&L 2.5-10 x 40, exit pupil 16.0-4.0, 1/4 MOA clicks, FOV @ 100yds 43.5 - 11.2 feet, eye relief 3.2", wt. 13oz. Price (then) 290 USD.
