My longest shot on coues was just under 500 yds. But most have been between 200 and 400.
Have always zeroed at 200 yds, only 1.5 to 2" high at 100 and 4 to 6" low at 300 depending on cartridge and load. If you know your drops, you won't even have to dial to 400, especially if you don't have time. If you do have the time, then dial up.

In 34A shots can go long in some areas, in others no more than 500. Depends where in the area you hunt.
