Axis deer (meat hunt)

To start, before today I had only had the pleasure to eat some Axis deer meat from a friend of mine.
Needless to say it was delicious but I'd rather spend my hard earned money on western hunts or my hunting lease.

I booked a weekend hunt for an Axis deer doe on a low fence outfit.
First morning (this morning), my hunt ended in 45 minutes.
Decided to take my 257 Weatherby Mag and my shot was perfect at a whopping 62 yards lol.
Getting her hide tanned as well; but I'm going to be eating well for a while.

Nice. Axis is yummy. If you get a chance axis hunting open range in Hawaii is amazing and not too pricey.

I have 2 whopper bucks in my neighborhood...we are getting more and more. Yes they are tasty...good deal looks like some backstap will be for dinner soon.
