Building myself a manners stock. Gun is going to be for hunting 90% of time. Can't decide between just the 2 swivel studs or having the picatinny to mount bipod and sling.
In my head seems like would be a good leverage point to tear out after multiple long walks.

Carry bi-pod in my coat If I want it just slip it on and lever it down?
My rifle shoots better off my pack than the bi-pod It's a little tricky.
I very rarely carry it with the bi-pod on. I have flush cups on the left side 3 of them.

Yes I would do the rail it's a great option for a variety of shots If you don't use it there's really no downfall besides the 2 oz.

I agree with a rail. I have it on all my rifles. The sling stud is the lower fastening point. I carry my atlas until I need it. Easy deal.
