I have tried starline and lapua 6.5 grendel brass. On both brands I am getting the dreaded belt on both. I have pushed the Hornady brass super hard and I never get the brass to deform. I recently watched johnnys reloading bench and he's having the same problem. Don't really want to run a 108 eldm at 2400fps in a lapua case when I reload the factory brass at 2600. I thought lapua could take the abuse but I guess not.

seen the same video. Trying to get stuff together for my brother, he wants an arc for his AR. the only possible success might be 220 Russian brass. the biggest problem i think he had is grendal brass is .440 at base and 7.62x39 is .443 and the fact some of his brass was once fired, possibly in an oversized chamber.
GRAF has PPU 6.5 grendal in stock

I've shot the Hornady factory 108ELDM and it's shooting around the same speed as advertised. They're using ball powder, maybe LVR or CFE223. Not sure.
