Does anyone have any data for a 7mm rem mag with Reloader 25 powder? I have 162gr Hornady Amax's and 180gr Bergers to load. Any help would be appreciated.

I show the following from Hornady's 7th Edition - most current, manual for the 162 gr. A-MAX.

RL-25: 59.4 gr. min @ 2600 fps -to- 69.3 gr. max @ 3000 fps

I don't have anything on the 180 gr. Berger but you can email Walt directly at the following email: [email protected] and he will get you data for the 7mm Rem Mag using 180 gr. Bergers.

Hope you weren't looking for actual proven data as I have no experience with the 7mm Rem Mag.

I load 70gr. of RL25 behind a 162 Amax in a 7mm rem mag. Fed. 215 primer. Nosler brass. This load chrony's an average of exactly 3000fps and groups 0.25" in the particular rifle I'm shooting.

I really like RL25 in the 7mm rem mag. This same powder and charge weight works well with 168 SMK in the 7mm rem mag for me as well.

Of course, work up to this load in your rifle.gun) Good luck, Eric

Here is QL data for a 28" barrel. I believe this is similar to what Berger will send you.

Cartridge : 7 mm Rem. Mag.
Bullet : .284, 180, Berger VLD
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.290 inch or 83.57 mm
Barrel Length : 28.0 inch or 711.2 mm
Powder : Alliant Reloder-25

Hello, I have started reloading my father 7mm RM, it's a Winchester m70 Class with a Boss system. I believe it's a 26" barrel.
150 combined Tech 150 ballistic silvertips, fed 215 primer, Nosler virgin brass, COAL 3.240
This is my work up
69.4 @ 2789fps
70.6 @ 2897
72.2 @ 2982
73.6 @ 3149
I was hovering at 1.25 to just under 1moa at 100 with them all. So I was over all happy with my first ever reloading, I do not think I saw any pressure signs, I thought maybe the primers were a lil flattened but they look identical from the lowest charge to the highest

I have now loaded exactly 73.7 of the RL25 and a COAL of 3.388 and plan on hunting with it

my Loads seem high but I used the Sierra load data....and started a a mild load and worked up....

we have always had great luck with the factory 140 ballistic silvertips but couldn't find any for reloading but could the 150s and they look promising.

we hunt big body white tails here in NE LA
