Any body else use H1000 in the 6.5x55.

H1000 is actually great in the 6.5x55, with 140s and up. I helped a guy develop a load for his 700 Classic with a 30" Pacnor, he was getting 3140fps with 53grns, in Lapua brass, with CCI 250s. RL26 or Imr7828 ssc is better, but he had a 8lb jug of H1000. I run 51.6grns of RL26 under 140 ELDMs in Lapua brass, with Fed210Ms, runs 3112fps, from the 26" Mcgowen on my Savage 116 action. 7828ssc would come close, but was hard on brass. I wouldn't use anything over 55k psi loads in the older inferior actions, but 65k psi is fine in modern actions.

I've never tried it, but looking at Quickload very quickly, I don't think you will ever get enough powder in it.

reloader 26, Norma MRP, IMR 7828ssc, N560, N555

H4831SC has worked well for me, but a bit slower.

ON 26" Brux 8T, I shoot the 127g Barnes Long range at 3150, no pressure, tiny groups, cci 250 sealed the deal on small group, 6.5x55, Lapua brass.

I am shooting a hotter load than Hespco, but no extraction or pressure issues which shows how barrels can sure be different.

I found that the barnes 127g Long range to be a very easy bullet to tune over a wide spread. I seated the bullets .050 off the lands and have never varied from that.

I want to try the 123g Scenar and the 129g Nosler long range accubond next.

Finding a Tika in this caliber would be SWEET!!! Congrats Hespco!
