DIY Induction Annealing Brass with .01 second accuracy for $200
Far cheaper, available now, works very well for annealing, plus you have a great tool for loosening stuck nuts, etc. I've used mine several times for both annealing and for heating nuts. I also used it once to get a broken-off steel shank out of a wooden handle - the shank gets red hot and burns away the wood holding it in place, and the handle is undamaged and can be reused..
