Absolute Hammer load data

I am about to start reloading 2 cartridges with either the Hammer Hunter or a variation of it or the Absolute Hunters . My expected hunting velocities are around 3300FPS plus or minus .
#1) Lazzeroni 30 caliber short magnum Patriot with 162 grain plus or minus grain bullet - 24" barrel 1/10" twist ,bolt action single shot
#2) Lazzeroni 30 caliber long action magnum Warbird with 178 grain plus or minus grain bullet - 26" barrel 1/10" twist , bolt action repeater
The refence I am looking at to start load development would be the 30WSM and 300 RUM , is that a good assumption as my powder capacity would be greater than these two cartridges?? I have the updated loading profiles downloaded that Mr. George has so graciously provided for us to refer too . I would like to know specifics as to most stable powder , best neck tension for the Hammer bullets, (H.H. -2 ?) and (A.H. -4?) .
I have or will have both F.L. RCBS dies and Neck sizing only Wilson dies cut from blanks using same chamber reamer .
I will be working up loads in very warm or hot temp area around sea level ,lower Alabama, but also hunt out west up to or around 13-16 thousand feet which always requires adjustments . Any advice or help not printed would be greatly appreciated . Mr. Butter Bean, Mr. George, Mr. John Lazzeroni , Mr. Steve??
Thank you in advance , Floyd

Just_jon,
Check your velocity @ 60.5, and sd @ 62.0.
Are you gonna try for any more velocity?

Give Steve a call at Hammer Bullets. 👍

Mr. Steve called me this morning , I am going to load the Hammer Hunters in lieu of the Absolutes for both of these cases . That gives me a lot more options on powders .
Sound advice. I struggled with the AH in several calibers because I failed to adapt to using faster powders. Using the 7mm 140AH as an example, 83 grains of H1000 in my 24" 7 STW is less than 60 fps faster than 62 grains of Hybrid 100V in my 26" 280AI. If you run out of case capacity before achieving your desired speed, you need a faster powder.

Yes Sir , this is the wrong site to talk about the H.H.'s so I'll just say I have some experience with the 30 cal 124hh at 3400 FPS out of my 22" 30/06. Mr. George knows about this load but I have not given the data to him yet for the HH site. I promise to get that done next week.

Loaded up some 155gr Absolute Hammers today in my 7SS.
26" Proof CF Barrel
1:8tw
ADG brass
FGMM 210M
Jump .02"

Varget
51gr 2990fps Slight stiff bolt lift

H4350
59gr 3129fps (Stiff bolt lift)

Seems like there should be more speed here since the 155 (158.6gr) HH gets 3132fps with 58.5gr H4350 (stiff bolt)

Not sure what to try next, any suggestions? Prefer to stick with temp stable powders. Have H1000, H4350, Varget, 4831SC on hand.

In my experience I have not seen the fps gains in the sherman cases with the ah like I have with other case designs.

I'd try seating them deeper, jump them .040 or more, with the H4350 and re-run your pressure test.

I'm guessing you're about maxed out on powder capacity and speed with the H4350.

If you can't get them going significantly faster I'd run the 155 HH, for the higher bc at the same speed, or drop down to the 120HH or 131HH and pick up a couple hundred fps. You could probably get the 120HH moving over 3400 fps.

What was the case fill with each powder?

Happy to check a different way other than shaking the cases to hear powder freedom

Varget pressured at 51.5gr but still has a lot of powder shake freedom at 54gr. I did not load up high enough to reach 100% fill.

H4350 has noticeable freedom at 60.5gr but at 61 almost no perceptible freedom so I would guess 100% to be between there. Pressured at 59gr

I don't have that caliber, but I have done some investation on different powders and burning rates. I have been looking at powders that are single based powder that are in-between other single based powders in the H powders.
This what I came up with presently. Now I haven't gotten to test these powders, but now have some of these on hand. Never know I might like one.
The as shown on charts! The N-1 type of powder from what I have read are single based powders. The powder has to start with a no. 1 and range from N105 thru N170. If you see something wrong. please advise.
N150 faster than H4350. N160 faster then H4831, N165 faster than IMR7828SC, N170 slower than IMR7828SC, N170 faster than H1000. So here some different powders you might look at.
These burning rates are from a revised chart in Oct. 2022.
