The action has rear lugs?? and they had to close the action slowly??! Wonder what that was, it might go off if you closed the bolt quickly??

Not a good setup for that quick follow up on T-REX. But you could drop it on his foot and take him out!!

I would like to see what it would do to a whitetail.

Won't do any more to a whitetail, even with a soft point than a 12 ga slug. Not as much as a 300 RUM. You can only kill a deer so dead. But I would like to see what it would do with a TSX or North fork soft on a cape Buffalo. Even that might not be much more than 375 RUM with 300 TSX. Bullet placement is still more critical.

I do understand that this is completely useless as far as what you "need" but it certainly helps entertain the rest of the range..... OUCH OUCH OUCH, I would flinch the next 400 rounds through my 10/22
