Hello All
I'm thinking about having a barrel made in 7mm PRC for my Remington Rifle. I'm under the impression that you don't need the 26" long barrel? I'm considering the 1:8 twist and 5r rifling. This I think will shoot most any .284 bullets quite well especially the heavier bullets. I do believe the head size is .532 so a Ultra mag action and bolt will work just fine. Please let me know anything you have learned if you have one you've been working with.

The numbers from heavy 7mm bullets in 20-22" barrels and soon enough factory ammo options make it a great choice. Same head size, action length easy as a new barrel for your set up. For my personal use I don't need one but that chambering is going to be a winner for years to come. I'm for shorter barrels to run suppressed I've got the longer range stuff covered already.
