7mm mag freebore?

Barrels 28" 1-8.5 twist. Looking to run 175-180gr high BC Berger's possibly Hornady. Is there a best setup for this application? Honestly it's gonna be mostly Berger's.

200-220fb. My newest 7mm build is a 7mm-300prc. Reamer is being ground with a 240fb for 184 190 and 195 Bergers. If you're gonna shoot 175 & 180 200 will work well. Get yourself some adg/gunwerks brass as it's probably the strongest most consistent you'll find for the price.

Highdrum with an 8.5 twist do you think I can push the 195s @2850 or better? Im thinking any slower and I wouldnt reap the benefit of the high BC bullet. I actually built this for local long range steel. I have 300wm, 7 STW , 6.5CM but wanted to do something different. I see alot of 7x300 guys but wasnt familiar with it so went with 7mag with better twist for higher BC bullets.

My 7mm blaser improved has 230 fb. Currently im at 2840fps with 195 grom 8 twist 24" and very accurate out to 1000yds

You'll easily hit 2900-2950 with 195's, I ran them at 2900 in a 7-300wsm with rl26

You'll be on the lower end of stability depending on your elevation. Due to case capacity I'd stay away from the 195. The bigger bc numbers won't overtake the extra speed of the lighter bullet. With a 28" pipe, 180s @ 3050-3100 should be no problem. Rl26 N565, Retumbo, N570 would be my powder recommendation.

I've got Retumbo, H1000, RL25 and RL26. I was really looking at 180 hybrid for target and 180 Vld hunter for game being as the are only off 5pts either way on G1 and G7. Straight 7 mag @2950 -3k would get it for me.

180 hybrids work very well on game as well. Just make sure the tips are open and clean with a wire drill bit.

Which DBM setup did you opt for?

From what I've seen the 195s don't really outperform the 180 inside of 1000yds.

I'm using an aics mag, 3.63" coal I believe
