7-08 and heavy bullet stability

l've got a 7-08rem 24" 1-10 twist barrel throated for 150grns but how heavy a bullet could l expect this twist to stabilise, l was looking at either 168berger or 162A-max if possible. lf not l'll just drop for the 150smk and leave it alone, but the higher bc bullets do appeal.....

Both of those bullets will easily stabilize in a 10" twist. They do in mine. The Berger 180gr would be a problem.

Many thanks for your reply, a good friend dropped a half box of Speer 160's off for me to play with so l'll start there and work up...... Hmmm long range Roe deer, now there's a thought.
