Here are a couple pics of the new 6.5x47 tactial built on the Tooley Orian action.

Jeff Walker at Walker Custom Rifles in Culpepper VA (couple guys here have used Jeff) did the build. for the tactical gurus, Jeff is building all the tactical rifles for Vernon Harrison at Central VA Tactical. Vernon is one of the best LR and tactical instructors around today and is in big demand for LE, military and "govn agency" :D personnel. Not to mention he is a LR shooter and top 1K BR shooter.

Tooley action, with fluted bolt M16 extractor, threaded bolt knob and 8x48 screw holes and tooley recoil lug. That is the way the action came and for $830 in stock.

tooley 20 MOA base

TPS rings and 8-32 NF with MLR with zero stop installed by Bruce Baer.

Wyatts bottom metal with 2 AI mags.

Krieger 8.7 twist light palma cut to 29 inches

PTG no neck turn reamer

Stock is one of Stockys new Bobby Hart LR models. The way you see it: inletted, recoil pad and nice clear coat. This is the way it comes for only $300.

I plan on using it for some tactical and maybe open F class even though it is not as fast as the 6.5x284 and 284s in the F Open

However, with RL17, Berger/JLK 130s and CCI 450s I am betting it will more than hold its own
