Went out to put a couple rounds through my lapua today. I noticed slight ejector marks that I had not noticed working this one up. I'm shooting 40.6 grains of H4350 with 130 berger hunting bullets. They are just off the lands with a oal of 2.78" shooting a 26" Brux barrel. I may need to back off and work up again? I was around 85° and humid today.

If you worked up your load early in the barrels life ie; less than 100 rounds, you may notice a velocity/pressure increase up to about 100-125 rounds. At that point the velocity should stabalize. Check your crono readings from initial work up to current vel. Lower your powder charge to the initial vel. and you should be back in the node with no pressure signs again. unlike what you read on snipers-hide. barrels actually do break-in, weather you do anything or not.
