Due to current Cov-19 which worked out to my laid off this past Wednesday I have up for sale one of my two ongoing builds, and I hate the fact I need to do this, but times are changing for us all!. The gun is a Winchester model 70 In the 6.5 06. The build started with a Winchester model 70 30 06 action, the barrel was replaced with a new Douglas 8 1/2 twist with recested crown. And the blueng was redone to match the new barrel. The stock was replaced with new Winchester super grade dark wood stock. The trigger has not been replaced but isn't bad, but a new trigger was next on my list. It has a year old Swarovski Z5 3.5 x 18 x 44 with 1" tube on Redfield twist in mounts, which were lapped in. The barrel has app. 150 rds down the tube. And barrel was broke in using Tubbs bore finisher in which makes it a very easy cleaner. I have only one load worked up for the gun (the 143gr Hornady ELDX, which it likes. I do not have the box for the gun, but do have the scope box with all paper work. The scope is everything one would expect from Swarovski.
I do have dies and a large selection of bullets from Berger, Nolser, Hornady and Barnes that can be worked into the deal if interested, along with some loaded ammo. The brass I have is Nolser and Hornady which are 25 06 in which I was necking up. I have no hard count on bullets or brass yet, but will get if some one is interested.
It's truly a beautiful gun with no flaws on wood or metal, and was giving me good groups with the 143gr load, and was showing promise to improve. Scope and gun which I would like to sale together is priced at $2,400 shipped to your FFL. The loading equipment is extra, but if they go with the gun can be sold at a better price. The hard count will be updated later on this site.
