I'm trying to build a rifle that will come in under but close to 12 pounds. I'm using a Terminus Apollo Lite and an HNT 26. I've figured out that I can run a barrel that weighs a maximum of 3 pounds 14 ounces. Caliber will be 6.5. Cartridge will be a 6.5 Addiction (6.5x55 semi AI variation). I should be able to go down to 22" and make the velocity I want easily which is 2800 or higher with a 140 Berger. I've tried the pac nor barrel weight calculator, but it seems to be giving the weights for unfinished/unchambered barrels.

Will a Remington Varmint or a Medium Palma get me the weight I need? Is there any better barrel weight calculator? Is there a heavier profile I could go with and make weight?

I really want to avoid the extra $400 for a carbon fiber, a proof or a bartlein would bring the rifle in at a finished weight under 11# total instead of close to 12# as well using the numbers on Proof's website as a guess. I also don't want to do fluting.
