Ok here is the question.
Even though I have makings for 338 edge. I found a older ruger 77 tang safety with brake in 338win that has potential. That got me thinking. What would be optimal barrel length for the win mag. 26", 27, 28" plus brake?
5r rifling?
Sendero contour?
To reload for this I am not thinking mag length, thinking loading out as far as possible with ( safe loads of course) to use as much case space as possible. Suggestions on bullet choice? It would be a mid range 338 if one wanted to call it that. I know this case does not have great case capacity but thought maybe it would be fun to possibly put together. Then again may have lost my mind Considering I have 338edge barrel but thinking of different direction.
