Shooting my rem bdl 338 ultramag tomorrow going to try 250 matchking wondering if anyone had a good accuracy load to share thanks

I had very good results with H4831 and H1000 shooting a 250gr bullet at about 2,900 ft/sec if that is any help. Rem brass and Federal 215M primers were used. I was loading a Nosler bullet rather than the SMK that you intend to use.

I tried Imr 7828 with not that great results. So im going to give the h1000 a try. I tried no jump .030 .060jump and all gave the same 1.5" group at 100. Is this good for bdl i am very new to 338s.

1.5" groups from a factory Rem rifle is not bad but you will likely find a load that will shrink that some. If all else fails; bedding the action, re-crowning the muzzle and a trigger job often work wonders on a rifle.

Pushed them down another .020 and touched holes. Shot the 600 yd target and got 3.5". 86gr 7828ssc. I think a muzzle brake is order!! Still going to give the h1000 a try. Thanks for the info

I have had some great success with the 250g I use 215M primers, touching but not in the lands, COL 3.074, and 93.7g of H1000. I am shooting a .474 group with an ES of 12.
