225 accubond with rl25 h1000 imr 7828 out of my 28 inch tube I have pushed them at 3400fps but it's hot
I found the happy medium to be 265g ABLR for the velocity of the Edge, the 338-416 Rigby Improved pushes 300g pills well above 3100fps, so that works very well.I think a 250 gr Berger fits the bill. Heavy enough to hit hard, light enough to drive it to a decent velocity to reach out there.
It appears you are getting reassurance that the 250/300 Bergers are hard to beat for your intended purpose.Well I got out tonight for last light test on this new 338 Rum ..9 shots ..
300 gr bergers Elite hunter
Adg brass , 250 cci , nv570
Defiance tenacity, 26" Carbon proof .
Ran 90 gr up to 94 gr in half gr. Increments.
90 gr 2735 ...94 gr 2829 ft.per.sec
Pressure test but I do see two nodes .
I will load up 3 of 93 gr , 93 .5 , 94 for a group test .
What puzzeled me was the last 7 of the 9 shots are all 3/4" from my aiming point ..on separate target dots .
It's going to be a Shooter.
Testing to follow .
Maybe grab some 250 gr and give them try .

Sometimes, you have to scratch the itch.I was looking at the 275 lazers also .
I'm ready for some different bullets to test!

I've got a friend that swears by the 265 lazers out of his Lapua. I haven't tried them but do have a few hundred 400gn for a 375 if my barrel ever comes in.
