338 Rum or 300 Prc build?

I had no idea that the PRC is the parent case.

300prc isn't the parent, 404 Jeffery is. But all 3 of these cases have the same case capacity. Doing something wildcat style that's already saami don't make a whole lot of sense in my opinion.

Hi all,
Im looking to build off a doner rem 700 action, currently a 300rum.Im trying to decided between a 338 Rum or a 300 PRC . i just dont want a barrel burner 300rum. I already have a 300wm an 6.5 an 7mm rum . new to long range but can handle hard kicking rifles an i do reload.
May i please have your thoughts an opinions

You might look into building the .338 Baer on .338 Lapua Brass.
