i can pick up a cheep rem 700 sendero in 300wm with a buggered barrel

what needs to be done other that a new barrel ?

im a right in thinking that they both work off a .540 bolt face ?

I am not a gunsmith, but, I would recommend having a smith mill out the back of the receiver in the magwell 0.110 in order to install a Wyatt magbox for the longer COAL. Also will need to shorten the bolt stop the same 0.110.
The boltface will work fine, there is only 0.002 difference in base diameter of the cartridges. Kevin Wyatt has instructions included if you purchase the magbox from him. Just do a search for Wyatt Mag Box.

Trueblue is correct, when you order the box you want the, long action extended window box. This has the triange windows cut in the sides of it to facilitate the larger cartriges.

New barrel, wyatt's extended window mag box, and my have to open the feed rails slightly. Some need it, others don't need anything done with the feed rails. Good choice in calibers though.
