300 WSM 190 SMK data

    for those who were aquiring data on the 300WSM and the heavy bullets here's more results from today...

    Win Brass
    WLRM Primer
    H4350 62.5 grs
    seated to touch lands

    500 yard target
    1=2940 fps
    2=2944
    3=2949
    4=2953
    5=2952
    6=2950
    7=2955

    es=14
    avg=2948 fps
    38* 5 mph wind

    1=2954
    2=2960
    3=2953
    4=2976
    5=2971
    6=2968
    7=2982
    8=2978

    2967 fps avg.

    52* temp gusty 10-15 mph wind the target was actually swaying front to back and you can see that in shots 3 and 4..

    Hey Ric , what sort of chamber do you have in that rig ?? those are some great groups and impressive velocity with that big pill and a short barrel(under 28"I think is short)
    how far from the max load do you think you are , opr how fast have you run the 190gr bullets before getting into pressure ??

    JD,

    Chris cut a mathc chamber in it for me... the barrel is a Mike Rock 24" barrel and I am the begining of where the pressures start to get higher in my load... I have run them to just about 3000 but the brass was not good after that one.. ;-)

    Honest they are shot form the ground and a bi-pod....
