So a little background 10 years ago I built a custom 7mm shooting the 154 Hornady Interbonds for elk hunting and have killed a truck loads of elk with that gun but it's a heavy gun so I decided to build me a new lighter gun in 300 win mag I figured with the success I had with the 154 at 3200 fps that using the 165gr at around 3200fps should be even better but this is the first experience with a 30 cal I've got lots of RL26 and RL22 on hand what would you try and looking for a starting load

R22, no question. Start around 75.5-76 grains and work your way up. You should see 3200 fps around 77 grains, depending on your barrel length. Max load listed is 79 grains
