Anyone have load data for the Barnes 168 gr TSX in a .300 win mag? I have been shooting the 180 grain TSX with 73 grains of H4831sc with good results would like to try the 168 grain also. 1-10 Twist 24 inch barrel on the rifle.

If you're stuck on the Barnes. I used the 168 in my win mag for quite a while as a close range whitetail round, and it was quite effective.

Thanks Gord0! I am stuck on the Barnes. I have had great success with it in a few 6.5 calibers on game. Which powder did you use?
H4350, which didn't give much case fill. IMR4831, which gave pretty good case fill, but is temp sensitive. H4831sc which is almost identical to the IMR version, but with good temp sensitivity. H1000, which gave too much case fill, and was pretty dirty running bullets that light.

I'm loading the 165 TSX BT in my dads Browning abolt 24" barrel using IMR 7977. 79 grains is shooting well under an inch and approaching a half most days. I've run it up to 82 grains and didn't see any major changes In accuracy so came back down to where we know it shoots. Hornady brass started new and now most has been fired twice and half loaded a third time. Win magnum primers. It's not the fastest ever but I believe his barrel is pretty much shot out causing the lower velocity. Running right about 3000 fps

That's a very slow burning powder for that weight of bullet suggest IMR 4831 or IMR 4350 or Reloader 19/22 .

I've got a 300 wm that I was never happy with the accuracy until I tried 168 TTSX and H4831sc. I'm getting 3/8" groups with 77.5 gr and the bullets seated .050 off the lands and Fed 215m.

It was a slow shooting load for sure but shot very well and killed well. Moved onto 166 hammers over RL23 going 3300 fps now
