Anyone have any good 300 RUM recipes? I am using Retumbo and 190 smks and 220 smks. I would like to get 3000 fps out of a 26 inch barrel. Thanks guys.

I too am looking for this. 190 and 210 Bergers though. Sorry I'm not much help.
85gr ADI 2217 (H-1000) 200gr smk 2700 but a heap more room for powder so can go faster i got some 240smk and had better accuracy..
88gr ADI 2217 (H-1000) 240gr smk 2800 the best load in my gun es was like 3fps over 3 shots as i recall , 2 the same 1 3fps faster..
Not quite what youre after but it might help... oh and its a 26" barrel too..

Your barrel will have alot to do with mv. A good quality match bbl will be easier to get good mv. And stay clean. Not fouling. Proper break in keeps copper fouling to a minimum. Cleans easy. This all creates consistant mv.
I'm running 96 gr. Retumbo 190 vlds fed 215 m primers 27" lilja geting 3250 fps. Seated 3.74" It's a solid 1000 yard load. Not too hot. Easy on the throat.

Am curious Dusty, your measurment is that from the base of shell to tip of bullet or base of shell to Ogive of bullet??? I am guessing as long as it is it must be to the tip of bullet. I have experimented with Retumbo, H1000, RE22, Ramshot Magnum. I would also like to try RE25. I have settled on Berger 210gr bullets. I looked at 240gr SMK's but they require a 1/9 twist and my barrel is only 1/10 twist.

It's to the tip. I don't have a comparator. I need to get one. They run from 3.72 to 3.74 when I measure them all. It's about .060" jump. The only thing is 3.680" fits my mag. So I load single shot. That's the load I hunt with (3.680) RL-25 ran up to 30 fps up and down for me in my gun. But it grouped well out to 400yds.

Freebird... The 240 smk doesnt need a 1-9 twist mine is a 1-10 and i think as long as you throw them faster than 2600 they should stabilise, i may have read that somewhere i think... But having said that i think the speed you can get with the 210's should mean you beat the 240 past 1000yrds anyway so maybe a moot point!!
