This is a Remage with McGowan barrel 29". No pressure signs here except an occasional light ejector mark. My max is around 90 so I'm a couple grains under it. These are seated .01 OTL

Run that 87.7 grain load through different seating depths. Horizontal stringing can usually be fixed with proper shooting technique and seating depth. You may improve your es & sd too. With the right seating depth, I bet you can get that group half that size.

I like how the 87.8 is horizontal for the most part its like a1/4" deviation in height that's good!! … the left to right is bag pressure or cheek pressure and how you rifle is tracking!! I personally don't like fed215 in anything smaller than a 338 lapua long or Cheytac case size found lower ES with the CCI250. The ES is the only thing that matters from all shots fired so watch that and not deviation! shoot same load 87.8 and have three rounds loaded at each .010, .020, and .030" maybe another set at .040 off..
in my experience with the 230 and the 300 rum all of them loved to be full throttle if your getting plunger marks then its right there for pressure check on fired brass and let us know

I haven't tried the cci250s yet. The ES comment is interesting. I've never thought about it that way. I did try seating depth a while back but didn't have definitive results. I may need to try it again. The results showed .01 to .04 was best. I can fine tune from there

I also have had better luck with H1000 compared to Retumbo.

Also note that the RUM is designed with a lot of freebore, to reduce pressure, so if you are looking to seat the bullets just off the lands, or in the lands, I would recommend starting a couple grains lower than you would with a SAAMI OAL. (FYI, I have a 27" Schneider P5 barrel.)

My load is

210 HVLD

86.5 grains of H1000

seated .020" off the lands,

Federal 215M primers

Nosler Brass.

3,050 FPS

My best group was 1.5" @ 750 yards

My buddy's rifle likes 92 grains of Retumbo under a Barnes 180 TSX.
