What are the barrel lengths, twist and magazine COAL?

I guess it depends on what you want to gain. Or how you want to configure your rifle. I'd say for that length I'd leave it a 30-06 unless you want slightly more velocity and add a can. But for more velocity gains I'd opt for a longer barrel, 26"-28". One of our members got 2800 fps with around a 200 gr bullet and a straight 30-06 28" barrel. At those lengths you get much better velocity with even a standard 30-06, a 30-06 AI should be more. Puts you in the 300 SAUM realm with more mag capacity.

The reason why I asked for your magazine COAL is I heard SAUER's can have very limited COAL. If that's true then in really limits your gains because you can't seat out your bullets for more case capacity. In that case unless you're going to stick with 165-175 gr bullets I'd leave it a straight 30-06.
