Buttermilk STOP IT 🤩 LOL You make this old Contender Shooter want to get an XP

BEAUTIFUL
Doug
You should Doug! And keep shooting the Contenders. Got my start in the world of handgun hunting with a Contender 7-30 Waters (although I dabbled in pistol hunting squirrels prior to that with a Ruger MkII).

Dry nice. Those pistols are starting to gain my interest. Curious to what bullet and MV do you get in that setup?

I've not yet shot the bottom gun as I just picked it up from gunsmith last night. I expect it to do similar to the top gun.

The top one with the Alpine Ambush stock has a Bartlein 5R 18.5" 416R barrel. With Berger 210 VLDH bullets I'm getting right at 2825 fps. Barrel has not sped up yet as I don't have very many rounds down the tube yet.

Hit up @Ernie Bishop for McMillan stocks. He's who I've gotten mine from.

The XP-100's are becoming less abundant (likely because Ernie has them all 😁😇 lol), but are out there if you're willing to pay the price for them.

I started with one, and now I'm up to five XP's. Never thought I'd have that many…

Addictive doesn't come close to describing the XP-100 disease.

My chamberings include 7mm RSAUM, 7mm-08 Rem, 6x47 Lapua, and 30 Nosler.
