I have the same set-up but have not loaded the Accu Bonds yet though I have them on hand. I would start at the bottom and work my way up. Mine shoots one ragged hole with various factory loadongs so I expect nothing less from handloads. I just hope I can get it with the Accu Bonds and possibly the Barnes TSX.

I normally start with the suggested COL and tweak it if I dont get the accuracy I'm looking for. From there it's starting over with a powder change. Part of the fun is shooting right?

With 140 Accubonds I started out at 50gr I think, a few grains below the R17 data for the 130's, it really sucked as I had pressure signs very early!!! Once you get over 130gr bullets the slower powders start giving you way better speed, with 110 gr TTSX or V-max R17 is very good but the heavier stuff you can get better performance with other powders like Retumbo, H1000, 7828.

Interesting. Ill just have to use different powders and find out what works then. I was just set on RL-17 because is said it was made specifically for short mags.

Give it a try for sure but don't get locked in with it, I have yet to have a 270 WSM like it with heavy bullets but the 300 WSM digs R17. If you just want to run the WSM at regular 270Win velocities there are a lot of stuff that will work but if you want to get the most out of it try some of the slower stuff with the 140+gr bullets. I could get 100+fps more velocity with slower powders than with R17 and 4350 speed powders, accuracy was good but I was looking for speed also.

I've had great success with Winchester 780 Supreme with the 140gr Accubonds. I shoot a Browning A-Bolt 23in. barrel. I get around 3150fps useing 67.4gr(max load!)powder, Winchester brass, and WLRM primers. Groups about 1/2in at 100yrds.

I have been loading for a buddy using 4831sc and the 140 accubonds
It shots well under 1 moa all day
He dropped his 26in mulie at 740 yards and a cow elk at 200 dropped her in her tracks
    give it a try

I have a tikka also and love it! Just started working up loads for it and started with 130gn SST over 62gn RL-17 and that seems to be the ticket(no pressure at all but it was about 40F when I was testing). I need to shot some more to confirm but looks to be under 1/2 MOA. I do have 140 accubonds so will like to hear what you find out. I do have H4831sc to try also.

edit. I seated to about max mag length, CCI Mg primers

I have had great luck with this combo. I am loading 63gr of RL17 with the 140gr Accubond and getting an average of 3465 fps with sub 1/2" MOA at 100 yards and a COAL of 2.865" with Win brass and CCI Mag primers.

I have taken 3 mule deer ranging from 220 yards out to 832 yards this year as well as a young bull moose at 380 yards.

All with my Browning M-1000 Eclipse with a 26" bull barrel.

I've settled on 130SST and RL-17 for my 270 WSM. On all powders I remember trying, I hit pressure signs early. RL-17, MagPro and H4831. RL-17 and MagPro had best Velocity and Accuracy in my rifle, with the RL-17 edging in both.

My rifle is a Savage low end and it shoots and honest 1/2 moa. Only rifle that I have that will(least expensive too). But, all powders I tested had pressure signs early with this rifle but would always get to published velocities. Tight chamber or something I suppose. I do load .005 - .010 from the lands.

I haven't tried Win 780 or Hybrid 100v, and with the way this is shooting I don't plan on it. It chronos at 3300fps-24in barrel.
