I know a .270 bullet can travel 1000 yds. I ploan to do so. I just bought a new Lee turret press and a set of pace setter dies. I need to know what grain bullet (make/model) and powder combo (make/model) should I be using. I don't even know the twist of the barrel of this gun. I am new to this. I have read a lot of what I have to do to shoot this far. I now need the proper load to do so. I know that heavy loads are good to for knock down power, I know light loads go faster. There must be a sweet spot where weight vs chagre make the bullet go the farthest and the flattest at 1k yds. I would like to hear from people that have shot a .270 round 1000 yds consistently I know .308 and 30.06 are a long range round, But I own a .270 . Thanks in advance for your time.
