Hey guys,

Would I get much more performance going to an 257stw in a 26 in barrel. It would be the ruger varmiter drilling out to a 257 stw. Is it possible? also how would I get the dies. Can a gun smith make them. This info is for a good friend and I would appreciate some info. Thanks Guys and Galls

By Ruger Varmiter I don't know if you mean a Number 1 or the M77 Varmiter. If it is a M77, unless things have changed
lately I believe this action is still a 300 Win. Mag. length
instead of a 375 H&H length that you would need for a .257
STW unless you want it to be a single shot!

I have the reamer and redding deluxe dies for the 257STW that I would consider selling. Reamer used 2x and is like new.
