Eld-x in all my 6.5s shoot great.
Every barrel is different but....
Trying 257 110 eld-x in my 1:10 25-06 & in two of my 257 Bob Ackleys (both 10 twist), can't get them to shoot at all. From .010 off to .085 nothing. Only tried up to 3150 using h4350, h4831 & h4831sc.
These are scattergun groups, terrible, all three guns shoot 100 nosler ballistic tips great under .75moa so scopes and mechanics shouldn't be problem.
Questions;
1. Is 10 twist too slow?
2. How fast do they seem to shoot best?
3. Any body else shot these with poor results?
Thanks,
Randy

The 10" twist should not be the problem.
If the 115gr Berger shoots fine in a 10", then so should the 110gr ELD-X.
I run 110gr Accubonds since Berger bullets dried up here around 2 years ago.
In my 25-06, I get 3226fps with them using H1000, 3315fps with RETUMBO, but accuracy not as good as RE25, believe it or not.
That powder runs them at 3266fps, the same velocity I get with 115gr Bergers.

Cheers.

MN, like you couldn't get them to group in two .25's when we ran out of the 115 Bergers. Had to wait a few months for the 115's to return. No luck with the 212ELDX in .30 cal either, still have nearly a full box. My friend shoots bug holes with the Hornady SST in .270.

Have you tried seating them even deeper, like .100 or .120 off assuming bullet isn't too deep in case? I know lots of guys claim the std AB likes a good jump... maybe the bonded bullets all lean this way?

The eld-x is a cup & core not bonded (?).
In my frustration yesterday I pulled another 257 Bob AI barrel from the shelf with longer throat. Tried it again this morning at .120 off. Still scattered. Cranked up the speed to 3150, same thing. Now thinking it was the gun or scope, switched the barrel again to a known good shooting 6.5 creed. One ragged hole 5 shot group.
The 143 eld-xs shoot good in my 5 creeds and 3 260s.....those quarter bore 110s still stink for me, now in 4 different barrels. Think I'm done with them.

I ve had bad luck with 162 Eldx in both a 7-08 and 7RM. Back to same weight with Ms or AMax and sub MOA. I have friends who ve struggled with x s also in 6 and 7 mm.

Good correction on my brain fart .. Eldx is cup and core, no bonding; had Interbond on brain. lol

My 25.06 shoots really great with 110 gr, Accubond. One note, it didn't start getting tight groups until I started reaching max loads.
All my 25-06s also liked the 110 accubond also. They also loved 115 VLDs and 100 Nosler ballistic tips.
Hoping that the 110 eld-x would have showed more, turned out it has been a battle to say the least. I still have one sealed box left and I think it will stay that way.

Sounds simple, drop the 110gr and go to a 100gr see what happens, the eld-x sounds like it's just not going to perform for you.

In my 25-06AI H1000 is my go to. Much more accurate and better speed the R25. 26" Krieger 10 twist at 3350 fps with a 115 Berger.

Using a 24" 25-06. Shooting the 110 ELD-X pushed by 49.3 gr IMR 4451 (Enduron line) and I'm shooting 3/8"-9/16" when the barrel is cool. Starts moving if I go over 3 shots without letting it cool again.
