[QUOTE="Broz, post: 331254, member: 7503"] BH, I was searching for 240 smk data when I found this thread, and I don't doubt the performance on game of an SMK. I have logged my own data with the 300 smk from my lapua. To date, several yotes out to 800, antelope 482, 500, 691, 710, 713, 820yds, deer from 300 to 1137, Elk 526 and 1130 yds. Never tracked or lost one animal. My quest was to find accuracy from a 300 win, I am comfortable the 210 Berger will do well as I have taken much game with it and seen good groups at 1000 too. But I was interested in data on the 240 as far as twist and group size at 1000 from a 300 win. Please don't think I was looking to fire up an old debate, not at all, I was just looking for first hand data. Here is a pic of an elk I took at 526 yards with the 300 smk from my Lapua. And the recovered bullet. I would expect the 240 to preform simular. No debate , just good data and everyone can draw their own conclusion. Thanks to all for their replies.
