So the 22ARC is shorter but slightly fatter than the 224 Valkyrie. So what's the difference in powder capacity?

Sounds like a load of horse puckey to me.Per the guys on the Hornady podcast the primary benefit is that the 22 ARC is far easier to tune compared to the .224 Valk. This is predominantly due to chamber and cartridge case dimensions.
Yeah. I'm interested to see how it turns out. The .224 valk was the most finicky cartridge I've loaded for. 3 barrels later, I gave up on it.Sounds like a load of horse puckey to me.
having a 22 Grendel i can tell for sure much easier to tune than the Valkyrie with 100fps or more velocity advantage.Sounds like a load of horse puckey to me.
the Nosler has slightly less capacity and the rebated rim is a total disaster and brass life suffers greatly.Good morning, anyone have experience with the 22 Nosler?
I wonder if Hornady guys were loading off the shelf canister powders or the "double super secret " stuff?Per the guys on the Hornady podcast the primary benefit is that the 22 ARC is far easier to tune compared to the .224 Valk. This is predominantly due to chamber and cartridge case dimensions.
Years ago I almost bought a 22 Nosler AR upper. Canceled the order 2 days later. Nothe Nosler has slightly less capacity and the rebated rim is a total disaster and brass life suffers greatly.
you made the right choice. that case design couldn't handle even moderate pressures. when you could still get the 6 Hagar brass some guys were changing their bolt and forming the Hagar to Nosler and having much better luckYears ago I almost bought a 22 Nosler AR upper. Canceled the order 2 days later. No
Regrets!
