.22-250 twist rate?

Which twist rate will work best for a .22-250 barrel in which I want to fire bulets from 55gr. up to 80gr? 7, 8, or 9? Will most 55gr. bullets fly apart when pushed fast out of a 7 or 8 twist?

You'll need a 1x8"if you're planning on stepping up to the 80s. You always have to set your twist by what's the heaviest (longest) bullet that you plan on shooting. The lighter bullets will work fine here too. Assuming a decent quality barrel and avoiding super thin jacketed bullets, the lighter bullets should hold together.
