Hey guys. I really appreciate all the knowledge on here so I'm going to try to pick your brain.....I'm looking to build a rifle to replace my 270 win, and I'm coming up with a 6.5 PRC. I'm shooting 130 grain bullets @ 3150 fps in my 270 with a 22" barrel with H4831sc and would like to duplicate that.

So my question is....... What is a real world achievable muzzle velocity for a 22" 6.5 PRC shooting 130 grain bullets with either H4831sc, H100, or Retumbo. I definitely want to stick with the Hodgdon extreme powders for temp stability. Is 3200 fps without extreme pressure a unrealistic dream?

130s in a 22 inch barrel will be tough to make 3200, 3050-3100 is more realistic.
H-1000, retumbo are out, you wont get enough in the case with 130s. H4831sc or rl-23 which is also a very stable powder will be 3050-3100 range

I haven't shot 130's, but my 6.5PRC with 26" Proof shoots the 156 EOL @ 3020-3035 with H-1000, N565, RE26. I have less than 50 rounds down the barrel and these are not max pressure loads. You might study the bearing surfaces of the 130's you like and choose the bullet with the least bearing surface. I would assume you would want to be in the burn rate area of H4350 and H4831 for the 130's.
