I am interested in working up a new load for my 300 Jarrett.

I want to shoot a Berger 30 cal 210 gr Match Hunting VLD bullet.

I have not been able to find any reloading data on this bullet for a 300 Jarrett.

A friend told me to use Hodgdon H4831SC powder.
He thought that a safe charge would be in the range of 70 to 74 gr and that 72 gr should result in about 3,000 fps.

I would like to get as much velocity as possible without compromising safety.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

I'm loading 83 gr of RL22. 3045fps. WORK UP TO IT. What is your twist? If it is a 12 twist like Kenny usually builds, the 210 won't give you much accuracy. Mine has a 9 twist to handle the heavy bullets. Now the 190 Berger will work great in the 12 twist.

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately my barrel has a 12 twist.

I have been shooting the 200gr Nosler Partition® Spitzer #35626 @ 2,987 ft./sec., a load that Jarrett worked up for me.

I really like the high BC of the 210 Berger.

I don't know. It looks very close to the Berger 210.

Has anyone shot either the Hornady Amax 208 or the Berger 210 thru a 12 twist barrel?

If so could you give me the load info?

Powder:
Primer:
Velocity:

Thanks,

Steve
