Hey gang,

I'm new here on this forum. Looks fun!

I am currently hunting with a 300 win mag using 200 grain Accubonds. I handload to the listed max. They shoot okay.

Anyone have field experience on elk using these bullets? Anyone have any long shots through bone?

Thanks!

No experience on elk but I drove one lengthways through a whitetail at better than 650 yards. Front shot, hit high exited rear quarter clipping ribs as it went just below the loin. Wound channel looked like it was impaled by an inch pipe. 3250 muzzle velocity. Wish my new barrel liked them as much as the old one did.

They generally get good reports. My hunting partner has killed two cow elk at 550 and 320 yds with the 200 gr AB out of a 300 WM, good performance on both.
