Back before Berger considered their original VLDs as hunting bullets, Jimmy Knox was making his VLDs from the same J4 jackets as Walt was using. Jimmy switched some of his VLDs to other jackets, but the 7mm 168s remained to be produced from J4 jackets.

Are there any hunters here who might used the JLKs 7mm 168 VLDs for hunting? If you have, would y'all mind sharing your experiences with them?

The reason I am asking I have a few boxes of them from Jimmy's personal stash that I may try in the 280AI and 7RM.

Sure I can do my own testing, no problem there, I am just seeking information for comparison and learn what works and what does not.

They work fantastic for hunting. I've shot JLK's for years and harvested several animals from Coues deer to grizzlies to moose and all in between. If you'd like to sell them, I'd be interested in them
