I am loading up some rounds for a gunwerks 7mm. I am shooting 168 VDLs. I am getting 3280 ON THE CRONY. Is this realistic? It is a new crony BETA model. I am loading 70.7 grains of H 1000 with cci 250 primers per gunwerks advice.
The testing they provided said 3010fps with there ammo. I would like to match this as it will work the best with the ballistic turret they provided.
I would like to try there ammo but even though I paid for $300 worth I have not seen it in 4 months.
Any advise?

i have seen some long throated 7mags that would shoot 180's at 3100 so its possible. the BC for the 168 is a proven number so shoot it at extended ranges and see if your drops match up with the speed your seeing. 3010 does seem about right for the load info you listed, my 7mag shoots the 160 accubond at 3100 with 72.5 of h-1000

Seems too fast to me. I get 2975fps out of my 7mmRM. It's a 26" McGowan barrel, 70.0 grains of H-1000, Mag primers, and 168g Bergers.

I am shooting pretty much the same load and getting 2977 avg. 3280 seems high. I don,t know what your barrel length is, but a STW probably won't do that speed with 10-13 more grains of the SAME powder. The 3010 speeds to dead in,but 3280 is a little high. IMHO. Have fun. 7STW.lightbulbgun)

I was thinking the same thing. I will try to get another crony to try out. I am new to this rifle and caliber.
